Methodology and Computing

It is our goal to provide open-source encoding that is as transparent as possible and that can be shared with and used by other researchers in the Digital Humanities. We use Extensible Markup Language (XML) for encoding the texts with a tag set that is derived from elements proposed by the Text Encoding

Initiative (TEI). The application of xml and TEI tags are explained for each individual project under the links below:
